After 15 years of making wines in the Yarra Valley under Arfion and Salo, Dave Mackintosh felt the pull to return to Aotearoa and these create unique, modern, wines from Hawke’s Bay Te Matau-a-Māui soils. 

We’re excited to bring you a showcase of three of Dave’s wines, all organic, sustainably produced, lo-fi — and totally delicious. By the half-glass, glass + bottle:

Kenzie ‘Tearz’, White Noir 2022

ORGANIC Pinot Noir + Chardonnay — Blush pink. Maraschino cherry, rhubarb. Strawberries + cream texture. Hint of brioche. As Jini said in this morning’s training “Very smashable!”

Kenzie ‘Smokestack Lightning’, 2022

ORGANIC Skin Contact Gewurztraminer — Orange fruits, spice, florals + ginger. Fresh aromatics, gentle + dry, a little grapefruit bitterness.

Kenzie ‘River Flow’ 2022

ORGANIC Merlot + Cab Franc — Red fruits, dark plum, spice, licorice. Bright, juicy tannins, soft + lovely.
